I bought this air purifier 2 years ago when wildfire smoke was really bad. We’ve used it ever since! It’s
also great for people who have pets (filters fur and dander from the air)! I love that it’s small and lightweight so I can easily move it around as needed. The filter is easy to access which makes cleaning and changing a breeze.

FYI, it is loud when on level 3. However, my wife and I love it! We have one for our bedroom, one for our living room. Definitely helps with my wife’s migraines. Just an important reminder, unscrew the bottom and remove the plastic bag. Outside of that, we can’t complain and we are very happy with our purchases.

I had this unit for about a month. Initially, it worked fine. But then, for no apparent reason, it died. I would plug it in, but nothing would happen. None of the indicator lights lit up, none of the setting or power buttons responded, nothing. I contacted Crane using the contact submission form on their website. Within a few days, I heard from them. They said that, because the item was under warranty, they would send me a new unit once I sent them proof of purchase.
But before I did so, I was able to troubleshoot the issue. The issue has to do with the filter interlock switch. I removed the bottom filter cover and filter, replaced them both, and made sure the filter cover was on securely. The unit now seems to work fine.
I also made some suggestions to Crane regarding the instruction manual. The only mention of the interlock switch, and how to properly position the bottom filter cover so as to ensure that the bottom tab is engaged in the slot, is in a very obscure place in the manual (p. 9, under “Troubleshooting”). Since the unit will not work if the interlock switch is not engaged, which itself requires that the filter and filter cover be properly positioned and secured, I let Crane know that this should be much more prominently mentioned in the manual, such as on pp. 6 and 7 under “Operation and Use,” “Replacing the HEPA Filter,” and “Replacing the UV Bulb.”
Also, nowhere does the manual inform the consumer that, before the unit is used, the plastic bag that protects the filters needs to be removed. My guess is that the unit could be damaged if someone simply plugs it in and turns it on without first opening up the bottom filter cover, removing the filters and discarding the plastic protection, and then replacing the filters and cover. This, too, should be prominently mentioned in the manual. I suggested to Crane that they put this on p. 5, under “Before Use,” and perhaps somewhere, too, on pp. 2-3, under “Safety Instructions.”
I’m waiting to hear from them to see if they will take my suggestions. It’s been about three weeks since I let them know; so far, I haven’t heard from them.

This product works great. Washable filter. Easy settings. Timer. Auto shut off. Very easy to move around. Just very well made. I leave it in my bedroom for a few hours and then in the living area for a few hours each day. It even has a night time button if you want it extra quiet and the buttons dim.

I bought 2 one for my parents house and and for my apartment. I like the size, the fan settings and it’s easy to move room to room. The filter is wrapped in plastic bag you have to remove first. My Mom didn’t like the sound coming from it and I turned it down to silent. The filter last 3 months.
Update:April 15 I have slept with this in my bedroom and noticed I wake up so dry mouth. I suggest try having a humidifier in your bedroom if you’re sleeping with it on.
